Welcome to the Mozilla Accessibility Blog

Welcome to the Mozilla Accessibility Blog. We are the Firefox Accessibility Team and we’re here to ensure that Mozilla products and services are accessible and delightful for people with disabilities.

My name is Asa Dotzler and I’m the product manager for Firefox accessibility. My co-editor here is Marco Zehe, senior platform engineer for accessibility. Together, and with posts from other team members, we will share progress in our mission to ensure the Internet is a global public resource, open and accessible to all. An Internet that truly puts people first, where individuals can shape their own experience and are empowered, safe and independent.

By following this blog, you will stay up to date on our plans and roadmaps and you will get frequent progress updates from the team. Many of the posts will be directly relevant to Firefox accessibility but we will also cover other Mozilla products and projects and even occasionally venture into more general accessibility topics. We encourage you to engage with the team through comments here and also to reach out to us on our Matrix team chat at https://chat.mozilla.org/.

Thank you for joining us. We’re looking forward to this shared adventure.

    Hello Asa,

I’ve requested for years to have news about accessibility. This is really awesome to read this blog today.

Shouldn’t be easier for visibility to publish on an existing blog?

Do you plan to create a section on the release note on a11y? (As Apple does for macOS, see https://www.apple.com/fr/macos/catalina/features/)

    Best regards.
